Bowie State will be no.2 in D-II Playoffs; hosting Lenoir-Rhyne in opening round

INDIANAPOLIS – The 2021 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II football playoff field was announced earlier today with Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) champion Bowie State earning the number two seed in Super Region Two. 

The Bulldogs will host Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday, November 20 at 1 p.m. at Bulldogs Stadium. The winner will advance to face the West Florida-Newberry winner on Saturday, November 27 at 1 p.m.

Bowie State claimed their third straight CIAA title this past Saturday with a 17-7 win over Fayetteville State to finish with a 10-1 record during the regular season. Lenior-Rhyne enters the postseason with an 8-2 record.
